That’s the question that’s on a lot of everyone’s mind today.
Its teaser debuted 3 days ago at the 44th annual Super Bowl, now Yahoo has released the full-length trailer to Avatar: The Last Airbender. If we were going by setting and visuals alone the film would receive high marks all across on the board, but it’s the actors chosen to portray the characters that’s receiving a lot of flack from fans. Faithfuls of Avatar have verbally lashed out director M. Night Shyamalan and Paramount-some have even begun making videos of boycotting the film leading to its release.
Watch Here: The Last Airbender Film Boycott & The Last Airbender Boycott. Fans who have watched the series are aware that the show focused heavily on Asian culture. So, why are there lack of minorities present in the film? Only time will tell how well The Last Airbender will do overtime.
Avatar: The Last Airbender, the award winning cartoon series, aired on kid’s network Nickelodeon for 4 years before it ended in July 2008. If all goes well, the movie will be set up into a trilogy. Let’s just hope Shyamalan doesn’t do his usual surprise twist endings.
Avatar: The Last Airbender will make its way into theaters just in time for the summer on July 2nd.
