Comedian Mike Myers hosted the 2008 MTV Movie Awards, which took place at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California. The show featured appearances from Johnny Depp, Lindsay Lohan, Dewayne Johnson, Tom Cruise and performances from Cold Play and The Pussy Cat Dolls.

New comer Ellen Page won “Best Female Performance” for her role in Juno, Sean Faris and Cam Gigandet won for “Best Fight” and heartthrob Johnny Depp took home two awards for “Best Comedic Performance” and “Best Villian”.
