Samuel Bayer’s Vision of A Nightmare on Elm Street: Good or Bad?

Freddy is back invading the dreams of teens once again.

The iconic stripe sweater and gloves have been passed down to Jackie Earle Haley(Watchmen). The big question running through everyone’s minds is: Will Haley put the fear in a generation of teens?

Feel feel to answer after watching the trailer for yourself.

The new Nightmare on Elm Street was directed by producer Samuel Bayer. Bayer is also responsible for memorable videos like My Chemical Romance Welcome to the Black Parade and Green Day’s Holiday. We know the visuals will be a highlight of the film, but can Bayer’s vision of A Nightmare on Elm Street bring back the fear thats been absent in horror to today’s eyes?

The original A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) trailer

Samuel Bayer promises that the story A Nightmare on Elm Street digs deeper in the mind Freddy Kruger. There’s apparently has a more “dark” presence met in A Nightmare on Elm Street as well, according to Bayer.

Please deliver Samuel!
