5. You may (or may not) remember her from the CW reality TV show “Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.” 21-year-old Natalie Mejia was found with over multiple bags of cocaine on the inside of her vehcile Wednesday, March 10th according to Glendale News Press. Natalie Mejica is scheduled to appear at the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Glendale on April 15th.

4. Actor Robert Downey Jr. suits up once again to reprise his role in the hotly anticipated summer flick Iron Man 2. The trailer for Iron Man 2 was released earlier in the week. The stars that will be joining Mr. Downey this go-around are Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson Mickey Rourke and Don Cheadle.

3. It’s a story that’s buzzing in the South, but it is rapidly grabbing attention across the country. Itawamba County Agricultural High School refused to let a lesbian student, Constance McMillen , attend the school function with her girlfriend. Constance requested that her date show up wearing a tux. The Itawamba School not only denied the request made by Ms. Mcmillen, but canceled the entire dance altogether.

Here’s what Constance McMillen had to say on the matter:

“All I want is the same chance to enjoy my prom night like any other student. But my school would rather hurt all the students than treat everyone fairly,” McMillen said. “This isn’t just about me and my rights anymore — now I’m fighting for the opportunity of all the students at my school to have our prom.”

2. 80’s star Corey Haim unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday March 9th. TMZ reports that four drugs: hydrocodone (Vicodin), diazepam (Valium), haloperidol (an antipsychotic med) and Soma (a muscle relaxer), contributed to the death of Corey Haim. Haim is probably best known for his film roles the classic vampire flick The Lost Boys and Dream a Little Dream with close friend Corey Feldman.

1. Weeks of patiently waiting, the airing of Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone” debuted on Thursday evening. Where do we begin? For one, the video is 9 minutes long-almost like a mini movie ala Michael Jackson’s epic video “Thriller”. Now does it compare? Not really. But like all of Lady Gaga’s video it’s fun, colorful and incredibly campy. The duration of Telephone does enough where it can grab audiences attention and keep viewers interested. Jos, Nigeria, mostly known as a peaceful community, had to endure the death of over 200 innocents earlier in the week. What could of cause such an heinous act? The story dates to January 2010 where Sunni Muslims and Christians were at war with one another. Poverty, goods, religious beliefs and politics all played a contributing factor.

In retaliation of what happened in January, soldiers brutally massacred and claimed the lives of several JOS women, children and men on Wednesday, March 10th.

In the year 1966, two founding brothers of K-Swiss produced the first classic white leather sneaker. Ever since that significant moment, history has been made.

This year, K-Swiss has come up with a clever viral video campaign. There are 12 film shorts in total, and all of the videos were shot by some of the best filmmakers in the business. The shorts by K-Swiss will be shown from now till the remainder of the year.

The first video released on Tuesday, March 9 is “K is for Kalifornia,” directed by Los Angeles based production company SixStair. In “K is for Kalifornia”, Rick Nichols & Buddy Charnoski, the directors is Six Stair, successfully capture the finest moments of ‘cool’ California. Six Stair also shot two other film shorts- which include Don’t Forget to Look Up (launching March 19th) and their final video short featuring pro skateboarders Greg Lutzka and Al Partanen (launching on March 31st).

Another film director that contributed to the K-Swiss viral video campaign is NYU’s Tisch School graduate Jake Davis. Over the years, Davis has worked some of the best in the music in the business. The list of Jake Davis’ clients include: My Chemical Romance, Drake, Flyleaf and Kanye West. Stay tuned for more of K-Swiss’ videos in the future.
