PF Flyers Unveils the Box Cut Center Hi Sneaker

For years PF Flyers has focused on introducing costumers to innovative and savvy footwear: The Astor, Rambler Hi & Lo and Center Hi just to name a few. Now in Spring 2010 comes the The Box Cut Center Hi.

The Box Cut Center embodies that of the original ‘53 Center Hi , but has been revamped with some modern specifications. One of them being the contrasting-layered upper, which can be worn either folded up or down. When the Box Cut Center Hi is folded up, you’ll notice the PF Flyer banner. The Center Hi folded down reveals a two-tone styling.

There are several reveals for the Box Center hi which include: grey/orange angular reveal, beige/red angular reveal and navy canvas/yellow angular reveal.

The retail price for the Box Cut Center Hi are $75.00- avaliable via Neiman Marcus and Zappos.

K-Swiss Launches First Film Short in Viral Video Campaign

In the year 1966, two founding brothers of K-Swiss produced the first classic white leather sneaker. Ever since that significant moment, history has been made.

This year, K-Swiss has come up with a clever viral video campaign. There are 12 film shorts in total, and all of the videos were shot by some of the best filmmakers in the business. The shorts by K-Swiss will be shown from now till the remainder of the year.

The first video released on Tuesday, March 9 is “K is for Kalifornia,” directed by Los Angeles based production company SixStair. In “K is for Kalifornia”, Rick Nichols & Buddy Charnoski, the directors is Six Stair, successfully capture the finest moments of ‘cool’ California. Six Stair also shot two other film shorts- which include Don’t Forget to Look Up (launching March 19th) and their final video short featuring pro skateboarders Greg Lutzka and Al Partanen (launching on March 31st).

Another film director that contributed to the K-Swiss viral video campaign is NYU’s Tisch School graduate Jake Davis. Over the years, Davis has worked some of the best in the music in the business. The list of Jake Davis’ clients include: My Chemical Romance, Drake, Flyleaf and Kanye West. Stay tuned for more of K-Swiss’ videos in the future.
