The daring Janelle Monae has been in the music circuit for years, and now the newly signed Bad Boy artist releases her first official studio debut The ArchAndroid (Suites II and III of IV)-follow up to the EP Metropolis Suite I of IV: The Chase. The album features the irresistibly catchy lead tune ‘Tightrope’ featuring rapper Big Boi.

Billboard has confirmed that Maroon 5 will release their forthcoming Hands All Over on September 21st. The group will hit the road beginning July 30 in NY. Concert goers will be in for a treat because Maroon 5 will preview several songs from the upcoming album. For Hands All Over, Maroon 5 worked with producer Mutt Lange. Lunge has produced songs for Shania Twain, AC/DC and Nickleback.

Adam Levine on working with Matt Lange for Hands All Over:

“I like to say he descended from the sky in a cloud of smoke and said, ‘I want to produce this record,’ ’cause that’s kind of what happened,” explains Levine, who credits the Lange-produced Def Leppard albums as some of his earliest musical inspirations. “He keeps to himself and doesn’t necessarily come out of the woodwork unless he really wants to work on something. And he’s an amazing guy. He thinks huge; he wants to reach everybody in every country. He doesn’t want to dumb things down, but he wants to make things understandable and accessible.

“And we don’t think about things like that. I just think about how I’m feeling at any particular moment or what I want to express musically. So I think he took this music and really magnified it bigger than it ever could have been before.”

Beyonce Knowles channels her inner pin-up girl in the vintage inspired music video ‘Why Don’t You Love Me’. The video finds Knowles playing a dispirited suburban housewife who spends the day doing mostly work around the house. Some of B.B. Homemaker, Knowles’ charachter, long list of chores includes cooking, yard work , and dusting off Grammys? What Beyonce intentions for releasing a video off of the late album (I Am..Sasha Fierce was originally released in 2008) has yet to be seen. Could there possibly be another video anthology in the works?

What did you think of the video?

Toni Braxton was arguably one of the biggest R&B divas in the 90’s. Now the music veteran is marking her return with her sixth studio album Pulse. For the first single, Braxton teamed up with crooner Trey Songz for the melodic ‘Yesterday’. Pulse also features the sultry ballad ‘Hands Tied’ and the uptempo ‘Make My Heart’.
