Bizzom Buzzworthy: K. Michelle

Posted by Geordae On March - 8 - 2010

Songstress K.Michelle grew up in the southern state of Mississippi. The single mother holds the state responsible for giving her an admirable quality-coming out in life a tougher person. However, Michelle is more than just a singer-Michelle’s also a gifted songwriter and pianist.

In early music career, K.Michelle has already teamed up with the heavyweights in Hip Hop-Rick Ross, Missy Elliot and Trina.

When K.Michelle’s displays her vocal capabilities, the singer does it to the fullest. Take Michelle’s latest single “Fallin”. The R&B mid-tempo track finds K.Michelle belting with all that she’s got through both the song’s verses and chorus.

For her debut album the newly signed Jive recording artist has decided to name the album Pain Medicine. It should be noted that love won’t play a role on the debut. Instead, Pain Medicine will more so reflect K. Michelle’s current state-the struggles, life as a single mother-in short, honest music.

To ensure that Pain Medicine is a memorable one, K. Michelle has enlisted top music producers Cool & Dre (Lil Wayne), Rico Love (Beyonce, Michelle Williams), Lil Ronnie (R.Kelly) and Memphis’ own Drumma Boy.

In related news, K. Michelle is scheduled to shoot the video for “Fallin” next week.

Listen: Jah Cure-Unconditional Love

Jamaica born reggae artist Jah Cure, whose real name is Siccaturie Alcock, was bestowed with a voice contained with such raw emotion.

Writing 2 more studio albums later, Jah Cure would be a free man in 2007. In celebration, his fourth studio album would come out a week later. Now having a more clear outlook on life, Cure still continues on with his music endeavors. The most recent effort from the reggae artist is the 2009 disc The Universal Cure.
