Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams Team up for Super 8

Just when you thought director J.J. Abrams couldn’t top the viral campaign for his hit film Cloverfield. The official trailer for Abram’s and Steven Spielberg upcoming film Super 8 made its way online yesterday. According to the trailer the U.S Airforce were to have materials transported to a facility in Ohio. It then shows a train making an attempt to do so, that is until a truck comes causing a head on collision. It ends with something trying to escape from the box cart. The big question is exactly what.

Machete Teaser Trailer Unveiled

To those who went to see Grindhouse in theaters back in 2007 probably remember the fake trailers. Well, one was so popular with goers that it is now becoming a full length film. Director Robert Rodriguez recently unveiled the teaser trailer for his latest project Machete. There’s an all star cast lined up for the upcoming action packed blood fest. Machete stars Danny Trejo, Robert De Nero, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagal and Lindsay Lohan

Machete will be released in theaters on September 3rd.

Lionsgate Brings Madea’s Big Happy Family to the Big Screen

Are you ready for another Madea movie? Director/Writer/Actor Tyler Perry will slap on the wig and body suit one more time for Madea’s Big Happy Family.

Madea’s Big Happy Family is the 7th stage play to be turned into a film by Perry. Madea’s Big Happy Family is penned for April 22, 2011. During that same year, Tyler Perry will also release For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf on January 14th. The list of names scheduled to star are Pop divas Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey.

Tyler Perry’s most recent film Why Did I Get Married Too? opened at the box office at #2 grossing $29 Million in its opening day weekend.

Warner Bros. Pushes Back The Hobbit + Plus Future Releases

Fans impatiently waiting the release of Guillermo del Toro and Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit may have to wait a little longer-3 years to be exact. The Hobbit was originally scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 2011, but it has now been pushed back to December 2013 according to an official press release by Warner Bros. and IMAX.

Just recently Warner Bros. signed a deal with the digital theater company.

Luckily, there will be several films titles by WB that may appease your movie cravings. A total of 20 films are expected to come out over the course of the next 3 years. This include the final Harry Potter film-Harry Potter Deathly Hallows: Part 1 scheduled for November 19, 2010 and Harry Potter Deathly Hallows: Part 2 which will be released shortly after in 2011 on June 15th.
