Everyone’s favorite web slinger is returning to the big screen and Imax theaters. Sony Pictures reports that Marvel’s Spiderman 4 is penned for a summer 2011 release. Fans and critics of the 3rd film were left underwhelmed. Despite ill feelings towards it, Spider 3 was one of the highest grossing films in 2007. Will the fourth film redeem the Spider man franchise? Spectacular Spiderman, Disney XD

In the meantime fans of the masked hero can watch the critically acclaimed cartoon: The Spectacular Spiderman. The cartoon chronicles the teenage years of Peter Parker.The Spectacular Spiderman airs Mondays on Disney XD.
