If you’re a hardcore rock fan, then you’re somewhat familiar with Darby Crash:an underground rock legend whose life came to a halt in 1980. The group got it’s start when Jan Paul Beahm was kicked out of high school and decided that he wanted to form a rock group with best friend George Ruthenberg-in that moment the Germs were formed. Originally Beahm wanted the group to be named Sophistif–k and the Revlon Span Queens” ,but the cost to put the name on a t-shirt was too high. After several less-than-stellar performances, Beahm added Lorna Doom and Don Bolles to the group. With the latest addition, Jan Beahm decided to change his name to Darby Crash. Luckily, people began to take notice and The Germs became to talk of Los Angeles. Unfortunately, with the new found success Darby looked to drugs and began alienating those closest to him. What We Do Is Secret stars Shane West and Bijou Phillips star and opens in theaters August 8th.
