After a solid Thanksgiving opening at the box office, Disney’s Enchanted was able to stay number one for the second week in a row. The film brought in 17million over the weekend bringing its cumulative gross to $70.6 million.
This Christmas shows staying power securing the number two spot bringing in $8.4 million. Loretta Divine, Laura London, and R&B singer Chris Brown star in the holiday film.
The weekend’s only new release was the thriller Awake starring Jessica Alba and Hayden Christensen opening at the number four spot with 6 Million.
In theaters this week is Fox’s Searchlight’s Juno and the highly anticipated The Golden Compass from New Line Cinema.
