You may (or may not) remember her from the CW reality TV show “Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious.” 21-year-old Natalie Mejia was found with over multiple bags of cocaine on the inside of her vehcile Wednesday, March 10th according to Glendale News Press. Natalie Mejica is scheduled to appear at the Los Angeles County Superior Court in Glendale on April 15th.
4. Actor Robert Downey Jr. suits up once again to reprise his role in the hotly anticipated summer flick Iron Man 2. The trailer for Iron Man 2 was released earlier in the week. The stars that will be joining Mr. Downey this go-around are Gwyneth Paltrow, Scarlett Johansson Mickey Rourke and Don Cheadle.
3. It’s a story that’s buzzing in the South, but it is rapidly grabbing attention across the country. Itawamba County Agricultural High School refused to let a lesbian student, Constance McMillen , attend the school function with her girlfriend. Constance requested that her date show up wearing a tux. The Itawamba School not only denied the request made by Ms. Mcmillen, but canceled the entire dance altogether.
Here’s what Constance McMillen had to say on the matter:
“All I want is the same chance to enjoy my prom night like any other student. But my school would rather hurt all the students than treat everyone fairly,” McMillen said. “This isn’t just about me and my rights anymore — now I’m fighting for the opportunity of all the students at my school to have our prom.”
2. 80’s star Corey Haim unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday March 9th. TMZ reports that four drugs: hydrocodone (Vicodin), diazepam (Valium), haloperidol (an antipsychotic med) and Soma (a muscle relaxer), contributed to the death of Corey Haim. Haim is probably best known for his film roles the classic vampire flick The Lost Boys and Dream a Little Dream with close friend Corey Feldman.
1. Weeks of patiently waiting, the airing of Lady Gaga and Beyonce’s “Telephone” debuted on Thursday evening. Where do we begin? For one, the video is 9 minutes long-almost like a mini movie ala Michael Jackson’s epic video “Thriller”. Now does it compare? Not really. But like all of Lady Gaga’s video it’s fun, colorful and incredibly campy. The duration of Telephone does enough where it can grab audiences attention and keep viewers interested.
