Shedding the weight was only half the battle for the contestants on Biggest Loser(NBC). Often pushed to beyond their limits, the 12-week program on the ranch would help 16 overweight contestants discover things about themselves-both good and bad. Take-no-prisoners trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper were with the 4 remaining contestants step by step of the seemingly never-ending journey.
Tuesday night in front of a live audience Amanda, Rudy, Danny and Liz would be vying for the ultimate grand prize 250,000 dollars.
With Liz and Amanda hitting below yellow line prior to the finale, only one of these lucky ladies would go on to compete with Danny and Rudy. At home votes were enough to save Amanda and earn her a shot for the big prize at hand.
To fill out the show’s 2 hour time slot, Biggest Loser would bring out the 12 eliminated contestants from season 8- as they competed for the “At Home Prize”. With amazing transformations left and right, a newly confident Rebecca, now weighing at 149 pounds, was announced the at-home winner.
The Last 30 minutes of the 2 hour finale recapped the remaining 3 contestants experience on the ranch. With “America’s Choice” Amanda out of the equation. It was narrowed down the guys Danny and Rudy . With an amazing weight lost of 239 pounds, Danny beat out Rudy to become the 8th person to hold the title of “The Biggest Loser”.
Biggest Loser returns to TV sets January 5th on NBC.
