Skin Care Review: Bio-Oil

Posted by Geordae On February - 25 - 2010

This particular breakthrough product has described by several as a “miracle worker”. What product am I referring to exactly? That would be Bio-Oil. Bio-Oil is a non-greasy, hypoallergenic product that is suitable for all skin types. Word of mouth and an handful of online reviews later-I was sold. So, I took it up myself to try out Bio-Oil in hopes it could improve my skin’s appearance.

The versatile skin care product aids in the following: Scars, Stretch Marks, Uneven Skin Tone, Aging Skin and Dehydrated Skin. Additionally, you can use it as a moisturizer, after-sun treatment or even when bathing.

The bottle (net weight is 2.5 oz) is no bigger than the palm of my hand. The oil is a peachy-color, and its scent is surprisingly pleasant-think of lavender bath oil.

Being that Bio-Oil is an oily substance, an age old adage comes to mind: “A little goes a long way”. Only a few tiny drops need to be used on your face-both in the morning and before bed.

The positives so far: It feels extremely good on my skin, leaving it moisturized perfectly throughout the day. And most thankfully, I haven’t broken out since I’ve begun using it. But, only time will tell if Bio-Oil actually says what it does. Check back in a couple months for the final verdict.

Note: The instructions advise users to apply the substance twice daily for a minimum of the 3 months.

Price: $11.00
