Avenged Sevenfold released their self-titled fourth studio album yesterday. Surprisingly after the success of the last disc City of Evil, their most successful album to date, the group decided to go in a new direction.
“The last thing we’re going to do is write City of Evil part 2 or Waking the Fallen part 2,” Shadows said. “It’s not going to be a thrash record or old-school or anything like that. I know it’s going to be a sound that no one’s heard — kind of like when Korn came out, they were the first ones to start that whole scene and they sounded different than everybody. We want to do that for our own generation”. SOURCE

Nicole Scherzinger, Llyod, Timbland, Keri Hilson, and Sean Kingston performed at KISS-FM Homecoming at the Honda Center in Anaheim California
If KIIS-FM’s Homecoming concert could be summed up with one phrase, it would be the performers forcefully imploring the crowd to, “Put your hands up! Getcha hands up!”
Whether or not audience members responded because they were having fun or just to stop the person on stage from aggressively shouting at them depended on the performer. Saturday’s show at Honda Center in Anaheim boasted six popular acts, including Gwen Stefani, A-list producer Timbaland, rapper Fabolous, Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger and 17-year-old Jamaican phenom Sean Kingston.
Kingston kicked off the night with a short, disappointing set. Opening with “Me Love,” Kingston faced technical problems as the loud orchestrations overpowered his voice – a problem that plagued all of the acts throughout the night. Aside from that, Kingston’s performance also lacked energy which translated into the audience’s half-hearted involvement.
